Description

Take your sarong down to the beach or out to the pool, wrap yourself in it, lay on it, wrap your baby in it, lay it on your bed. Whatever you do, keep it colourful with the Chora Sarong.

Our sarongs are crafted from 100% Tencel fabric and are printed with Jaz's paintings. This print is inspired by Chora, the capitol of Amorgos in Greece; a little village that sits high on a hill overlooking the island and the Aegean Sea below. In the early hours of a warm summer morning, Jaz and her partner Rono walked the long and winding mountain road, 400m elevation from the ferry port, with two suitcases and a watermelon. With the sound of goat bells coming off the slopes, the sun rose as they reached Chora and revealed this beautiful village with it’s winding cobbled roads, traditional white houses and the sparkling sapphire-blue of the sea they had crossed in the dark.

Each sarong measures 140cm X 110cm and is digitally printed on 100% tencel using biodegradable water based inks saving over 60L of water per metre of fabric compared to conventional fabric printing. No waste water or pollution was created in this printing process. As these inks are biodegradable, colours may fade over time. To keep them looking bright and new please hand wash and rinse in cold water, avoiding tumble dryers.
